Some of you guys have found this site, undoubtedly looking for information on soft-modding your Xbox. Well a lot has changed since I first setup SuperTrick.net and I have really consolidated and streamlined a boat load of my modding information. Soft modding your Xbox has really gotten a lot easier than it used to be thanks to a few developments in recent months.

The hardest part about modding your Xbox is retrieving a copy of your eeprom.bin file. This is a really straight forward process that can be preformed by even the most novice of computer users. Basically get a copy of an exploitable game, 007, Splinter Cell, or Mech Assault from ebay.com or half.com. Use the exploits available for these games to dump a copy of your eeprom.bin file, FTP it off and you're good to go.

Well, you are good to go since I made these two discs (you'll need emule to download these):

Xbox Build Disc Generic - Use this disc if your Xbox has a kernel version that is NOT 5838.

Xbox Build Disc 5838 ONLY - You will use this disc if you have an Xbox kernel version of 5838. These are usually really new version 1.6 Xboxes.

Basically, all the baloney about what version of Xbox you have what kind of exploit to use, etc etc, is all really moot. I have put together a two disc set that will build an hard drive from scratch that will drop into any Xbox on the market right now.

Really, these are a must have for anyone who wants to mod their Xbox. I will be posting an in-depth tutorial on how, exactly, to use these if you can't figure it out from the prompts. Boot off one of these discs, choose option 1, and then type "xboxhd" at the prompt after the boot up has completed.
